How To Get Your Ex To Want You Back

How To Get Your Ex To Want You Back

If you've been through a breakup recently, there's a good chance you'd like to pretend it never happen.  A lot of people want to get their ex back right after a breakup.  However, convincing them that it's a good idea to get back together can be a real trick, even if you were the person who broke things off.  How do you get your ex to want you back without looking like an idiot or ruining your chances forever?  It's definitely not easy - there's no magic thing you can say to make it all better.

However, you do have options.

The first step in repairing your relationship is spending a little time thinking about what went wrong, and how you're going to deal with it.  After all, relationships don't go bad all at once.  Even if one big event caused the breakup, there were problem a lot of other things that led up to it.  Ask yourself what the real problem in your relationship is.  If someone cheated, were there things wrong before then that led them to go looking somewhere else?

Most people don't just decide to break the rules and break your heart - if they do, they're probably not someone you'd like to get back together with.

Once you've figured out what went wrong, ask yourself if it's something you can fix.  Some problems, like basic personality incompatibility, just don't go away.  However, if one of you was in a bad situation, and things are better now, there may be hope to get your ex to want you back.  Just remember that the bad feelings that came from that situation didn't vanish when it did.  You're going to have to move slowly and carefully if you'd like to get back together again and stay together.  You'd be surprised how many couples try to make things work again, only to discover that they never fixed their original problems.

What does this have to do with convincing your ex?

Well, you won't be able to make them feel interested in you again if you can't prove things are going to change.  After all, who wants to get back into a bad situation, only to have it continue?  You have to know what the problem was and be willing to fix it (without placing blame) if you want them to believe you're genuine.  It doesn't matter whose fault it was or what happened, as long as you're willing to make it up to one another and really take steps to fix things.

Of course, there's a chance that your ex isn't going to believe you, at least at first.  It's important not to give up, but you also shouldn't make a nuisance of yourself - especially if your ex has moved on or is seeing someone else.  Let them know that you want to fix things, and that you're happy to have them back.  The rest has to be up to them.  If you beg, call them all the time, or try to butt into their social life, you're just going to embarrass yourself.  Sure, you want them back, but the last thing you want to do is make them want to avoid you.

Can you get your ex to want you back?  It is possible, but it's not like all the websites say.  There's no one magic answer to convince the person you love that you're better off together.  The best you can do is know what went wrong, be ready to fix it, and let them know that in the most reasonable way you can.  If you're lucky, it'll convince them that you really do belong together.
